2010 Lotus Elise
The Lotus 2010 Exige S 240, will command a starting price of $65,690 when it arrives in the United States during the fall of 2009. The S240 has some redesigns including the front end with a more bigger and angular air intake with two adjacent vents. In addition, a new splitter wraps nicely around the vehicle's front end. In the rear, a new composite rear wing derived from the Exige GT3 road-car concept displayed at the Geneva motor show in 2007.
A few specs are a 1.8-liter Toyota-based four-cylinder motor that produces 240 hp and 170 lb-ft of torque. The chassis weighs only 150 pounds, and the full car tips the scales at only 2,077 pounds. It shoudl be no surprise that the Elise R can zip from 0 to 60 mph in 5.1 seconds while the top-of-the-line Elise SC records in at 4.3 seconds. The Elise R and Elise SC boasts fuel-economy stats of 29 mpg and 28 mpg respectively.
